
Carol Lynley, born Carole Ann Jones on February 13, 1942 and passed away on September 3, 2019, was an American actress best famous for her roles in Blue Denim (1959), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was the daughter of an Irish father and mother of a New England mother. After starting her career as an actor, she went on to become an infant model. She won the Theatre World Award as "one of the most promising actors for the years 1956-57" for her performance in The Potting Shed. Lynley began her film career with The Light in the Forest, a Disney film The Light in the Forest, following by Holiday for Lovers (1959) and Blue Denim (1959). The film was nominated for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer Female. In the following year, she was nominated again for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer - Female.
